Tour Highlights
The ancient Silk Road yields a wealth of world famous treasures. A series of passes, castles, grotto temples, courier stations, burial sites and beacon towers shine with brilliance.In the 15 days tour,you will touch them and just can't help but imagine how even amazing they looked back during the ancient days. It was great to visit the Dazu Carvings to get a chance to catch a glimpse of the traditional Chinese art.
Detailed Itinerary

Day 1  Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 2   Beijing Sightseeing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 3  Beijing Sightseeing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon.The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area.

Day 4   Beijing - Urumqi
Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5  Urumqi - Kashgar
You will take a morning flight to Kashgar - 'the pearl on the Ancient Silk Road'. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the local best hotel. Visit the famous Sunday Market.

Day 6  Kashgar - Urumqi - Turpan
Visit the Id Kah Mosque, the Old Street and the Abakh Khoja Tomb. Take a flight to Urumqi and be transferred to Turpan. Check in at the hotel.

Day 7  Turpan sightseeing
Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda.

Day 8  Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the Flaming Hill. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

Day 9  Dunhuang sightseeing
Pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum. Breakfast is on your side.

Day 10  Dunhuang - Xian
You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this evening.

Day 11  Xian sightseeing
Visit the terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. (Add: No.75, Chang'an Road, Xian)

Day 12  Xian sightseeing
Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family.

Day 13   Xian - Shanghai
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.

Day 14  Shanghai sightseeing
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
