Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and be met by the tour guide from West-Saga Tours, then transfer to the hotel and overnight in Beijing.

Day 02: Beijing-Lanzhou
Arrive in Lanzhou then trsit to Lanzhou,capital of Gansu province. Stay at 3* Jingcheng hotel. (1N)

Day 03: Lanzhou-Bingling monastery-Xiahe (360km)
Drive to visit Bingling monastery, then continue driving to Xiahe for overnight.

Day 04: Xiahe sightseeing
Visit Labrang Monastery, drive for a tour on Songke grassland, visit the Tibetan family.

Day 05: Xiahe-Xunhua-Tongren (190km)
On our way to Tongren, we'll stop and visit Xunhua, the birth place of the 10th Panchen Lama who was born here on the 3rd of Feb. 1938. Stay at Huangnan hotel.

Day 06: Tongren-Tongde (260km)
In the morning we visit Wutun and Longwu monasteries and will appreciate the local Regong art with very strong religious and folk significance. The local Tibetan people are very proud of LongWu monastery as it was built 200 years before Ta'er monastery in huangZhong county. Longwu monatery was fitst built by Saga sect in beginning of Yuan dynasty (1271-1368 ) then became a Gelu sect in the end of Ming (1368-1644)and beginning of Qing (1644--1911) dynasties.

Day 07: Tongde-Madoi (330km )
This morning we drive along the north of A nimaqing mountain ranges to the hot spring. The mountain has long been known as the holy mountain in Golok Tibetans minds. In a good weather you can view the sumit of the mountain (6282m above the sea level) frome a distance. Madoi is the firstcounty at the upper reaches of the Yellow River. With a length of 5464km, Yellow River is the second longest riverin China with its source just in Madoi.

Day 08: Madoi -Yushu (350km)
On the way to Yushu,we'll visit Saiba mnastery. All the residents here are Tibetans. Stay at Yushu guest house.

Day 09: Yushu
Jiegu monastery,a Saga sect monastery with a big sense,is the most siginificant mnastery in Yushu prefecture. You will not miss the visit to Princess WenCheng mnastery as well as the largest Yellow Sect mnastery in the region - the LongXi monastery.

Day 10: Yushu - Madoi (350km)
We drive back to Madoi today. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. Stay at guest house.

Day 11: Madoi - Koko Nor Lake (360km)
Today we 'll drive for 360km to KokoNor Lake--the sparkling pearl on the highland. Stay at the tent hotel (1N)

Day 12: Koko Nor Lake
A full-day tour at Koko Nor Lake. Covers an area of 4500sqm, the lake is the largest inland salt water lake in China.

Day13: Koko Nor Lake - Ta'er monastery - Xininig ( 160km)

Day14: Xining - Beijing
Take a flight to Beijing after the breakfast and end the tour at Xining airport.
