Qinghai-Tibet Railway runs across the lakeside areas of Haiyan County and Gangca County on the southern part of Haibei Prefecture. There are one main railway and three lateral railways come across this region. The mileage of the train is 490 kilometers.

Bus
In Haibei Prefecture, there are five national highways and provincial highways, such as Ningzhang Highway, Huangjia Highway, Minmen Highway, Chacha Highway and Eqi Haiway. These main roads enhance the communications between Haibei Prefecture to many other cities inside or out of Qinghai Province.
