Qinghai Koko Nor lake bicycle circling tour is a popular program in Qinghai province.The bike racing 2009 of Qinghai Koko Nor lake is going to be held on Jul.14. This tour will give our visitors a chance to see this program. Furthermore, we also arrange Huzhu Tu ethnic people area and Xunhua,Tongren Repkong art area in this trip. Visitors can have a close touch of this lovely land while riding on your bicycles.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Xining
Fly to Xining and Visit Kumbum monastery (Ta'er monastery) - the leading monastery in Amdo Tibet area. Our mechanic will assist you with bike assembly. Hotel: Holiday Dynasty Hotel Xining
Day 02: Xining- Huzhu-Datong-Xining
Watch 2009 Tour of Qinghai Lake Opening Ceremony. Go collect autographs and souvenirs. After Live Race Viewing of the Prologue, ride from Huzhu to Datong via Nanmen Gorge. (45km) Hotel: Holiday Dynasty Hotel Xining
Day 03: Xining-Xunhua
Drive to Xunhua. Start cycling tour along the Yellow River (20 km), then drive to Gongbo Gorge C a hydropower station located on the upper reaches of the Yellow River. Hotel: Yijia Hotel Xunhua
Day 04: Xunhua-Tongren
Watch stage 2 of the race in Xunhua live, then cycle from Xunhua to Tongren following the race route. (35km) Hotel: Repkong Hotel Tongren
Day 05: Tongren Sightseeing
Visit Tongren - centre of Tibetan Buddhist Arts and origin of Tangka Painting, Clay Sculptures, and Appliqu. See the most beautiful monastery and meet traditional Tibetan Artists there. Hotel: Repkong Hotel Tongren
Day 06: Tongren- Xining
Cycling from Tongren to Shuangpengxi Tibetan Village, also know as the largest danxia landform and famous summer resort in Tongren. Danxia landform named in China, consisting of red bed characterized by steep cliffs, is a unique type of petrographic geomorphology. (10 km) Hotel: Holiday Dynasty Hotel Xining
Day 07: Xining-Qinghai Lake
Drive to Qinghai Lake (KoKoNor Lake) and start cycling tour from Dock to Er langjian (34 km, round way). Hotel: Qinghai Lake Hotel
Day 08: Qinghai Lake-Xining
Cycling along the east shore of Qinghai Lake to Xihai via sand island. Then Drive to Xining. Share memory with your cycling buddies at the special arranged farewell dinner. (60km) Hotel: Holiday Dynasty Hotel Xining
Day 09: Xining Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at hotel, then send you to the airport and take your flight to the next destination. (B)
