Tour Highlights
Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, in southern Yunnan Province, is well known for its Peacock Dance, wild elephants, primeval forest, and not least its Water-Splashing Festival, its biggest of the year. According to the lunar calendar, the 22nd day of the third month is the Water-Splashing Festival, and a few days beforehand, the whole of Xishuangbanna seethes with excitement at the Dragonboat Race, and the country fair, both of which signal the start of the Water-Splashing Festival.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kunming Arrival
Arrive in Kunming, which is known as Spring City, meet at airport and transfer to your hotel. If have time, you could tour Yunnan Ethnic Village Park and Yunnan Minorities Museum. Welcoming dinner with Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle.
Day 2: Kunming-Jinghong
After breakfast, drive to visit Stone Forest, the geological Karst wonder with the colorful local Sani People living around. Take the flight to Jinghong this evening.
Day 3: Xishuangbanna sightseeing
Visit Menglun Tropical Botanical Garden. The garden has been constructed as a botanical garden with the largest area and the richest plant diversity in China. Visit Ganlanba bazaar, known as 'the Plume of the Peacock', With green trees all the year round and bamboo houses scattered around, the place is very attractive. And visit a village of Dai ethnic minority.
Day 4: Xishuangbanna sightseeing
Visit Wild Elephant Valley, tourists can walk about on the overhead corridor and maybe you can enjoy the scene of wild elephants bathing, playing water and seeking for food. The tree houses is the unique hotel built in the trees, so many foreigners are very interested in it.
Day 5: Xishuangbanna-Dali
Visit Tropical Rain Forest Park, and in the afternoon, take the flight back to Dali.
Day 6: Dali sightseeing
Cruising in Erhai Lake, enjoy Three course tea of Bai People. Then visit Butterfly Spring, and Temple of Three Pagodas of Chongshen Monastry built in 836AD, Visit Bai people's Tie-dying cloth with wax, and their village with the traditional architectural courtyards at Xizhou Town, and Old Town of Dali.
Day 7: Dali-Lijiang
A bus journey to Lijiang city in the morning. Visit Shuhe Ancient Town and Baisha Naxi Village where you will see the 500-year-old Baisha Fresco. Then back to Lijiang, visit Lijiang Ancient Town and Mufu (Mu's Mansion).
Day 8: Lijiang-Kunming
After breakfast, drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mt., take cable-car up to the glacier (4506 m high), hike in the mountain for about 1 hour to enjoy the breathtaking view of the main peak (5596 m high), then take cable-car down, drive back to Lijiang. On the way, visit Ganhaizi Meadow and Baishui River. In the Evening, take the flight back to Kunming.
Day 9: Kunming departure
Visit Golden Temple, which is the largest bronze-made temple in China, continue visiting Jingxing Flowers and Birds Market. Then transfer to airport for your departure flight.
