Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, in southern Yunnan Province, is well known for its Peacock Dance, wild elephants, primeval forest, and not least its Water-Splashing Festival, its biggest of the year. According to the lunar calendar, the 22nd day of the third month is the Water-Splashing Festival, and a few days beforehand, the whole of Xishuangbanna seethes with excitement at the Dragonboat Race, and the country fair, both of which signal the start of the Water-Splashing Festival.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Jinghong
Upon arrival at Airport, Our guide will pick you up. Drive to Mengyang(wild elephant ravine). visit the Wild Elephant Valley and the Xishuangbanna Minority Park(Minzu Fengqingyuan. After the sightseeing, transfer to hotel. Overnight: Jinghong
Day 2: Jinghong- Mengyang - Menglun
Drive to visit the Jinuo ethnic village. Drive to Menglun (Menglun botanical garden), after the sightseeing there we will transfer to hotel in Menglun.
Day 3: Departure from Jinghong
After breakfast, you will visit Menglun botanical garden and Dai ethnic garden. Drive back to Jinghong. See you off to the airport.
